Live Music Safari 2015: Jonny Faith at Loop
What can you expect from Jonny Faith?
Experience the intricate percussion and lush, organic tones of Jonny Faith. From the UK, to Sydney and now Melbourne, Faith earned his stripes as a DJ and turntablist spinning drum and bass, jungle and hip-hop before turning his hand to produce his own unique sound.
Faith’s tracks kicked off with a strong dub and reggae influence, embodied within the release of his first single under the alias of Dropwise Dubs through Sydney-based Foreign Dub imprint. Faith’s style has evolved, moving into the hip-hop future beats scene. Faith hosts a radio show and club night in Sydney, supporting emerging experimental beats.
Faith continued his evolution of sound, and in 2011, released EP Blue Sky on Mars for Civil Music, featuring futuristic beats, galactic intelligence and remixes from the likes of Dizz 1.
Faith continues to engross our senses with warm and emotive experiences with the release of his debut album Tru Thoughts, and first LP, Sundial. These experiences are crafted to enjoy from start to finish.
