Live Music Safari 2015: Wabz at Loop

The Wabz delicacy

The Wabz sound explored the delicate balance of electronic soundscapes, while acknowledging UK garage music, 2-step production dub and reggae. The recent release of Sweetwater Creek (part of debut album Argyle) is a fascinating new electronic sound with Solitaire Recordings.

Wabz expertly blends the world of acoustic with the current of electric, something old and something new for a dreamy, ear-pleasing indulgence. Argyle received four stars from Melbourne’s The Age newspaper, was Album of the Week on PBS and FBi Click, and the feature on 2SER.

Wabz sources a wide variety of sounds from live guitar, drums and field recordings to vocal recordings and vinyl sampling, crafting down-tempo to energetic sonic experiments and moody bass beats.

Wabz at Loop Live Music Safari

Wabz will grace the stage and play alongside Jonny Faith, friendships and ALTA in Loop’s audiovisual extravaganza for Melbourne Music Week’s Live Music Safari. These artists are infamous in their unique ways for their gifts at bending light and sound. Be delighted by this experimental music line-up both indoors and out in Meyers Place. Peninsula Production Services are ensuring that the crystal clear notes are amplified through VOID Acoustics systems. Wabz at Loop will bring the wow-factor and we’re excited!
