This coming February, join Sustainable Cities for a fundraiser screening to get the wheels turning on a new year of sustainable transport wins! The documentary ‘Tunnel Vision’ recounts the 18-month struggle against the East-West link toll road that ended in a massive win for the community. We’ll be hosting a screening of this uplifting film, plus hearing from the experts and activists that lived the story themselves!
Come along to explore the power of community and the citizens who turned up, made themselves heard, and made history, and find out what the power of a community can do when we rally together. Funds raised from this event will go towards Sustainable Cities’ campaigns to stop the North East Link and advocate for Melbourne Metro 2 as well as Tunnel Vision’s project to incorporate the film into Victorian high school curriculum.
This fundraiser and film screening night will be held on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and that struggles regarding urban planning and sustainability are inextricably linked to the struggles of First Nations Peoples.
