Denny Johnson

Found soul music as a young teenager in the UK in the early 70’s when I started collecting vinyl. The vinyl collecting got put on hold during the 80’s and most of the 90’s due to family and career commitments. In mid 90’s started a new job that included plenty of international travel – and this coincided with resuming collecting vinyl and starting DJ’ing. I emigrated to Perth, Australia in 2000, although the international travel continued. I enjoy regular DJ gigs in the UK (Brighouse Ritz, Prestwich, Bury Town Hall, Radcliffe Civic) and Spain (Hitsville Soul weekender-9 yrs resident, Benidorm International Soul week-ender)and all around Australia. My music taste embraces all genres of black music.
