Jazz, folk, experimental outfit, Tailor Birds, will be joined by folk singer/songwriter, Ma Petite, fresh off the release of her latest EP, ‘Winter Comes, Winter Goes’.  Joining them will be Disks, Melbourne electronic rock outfit, they will be performing tracks from their upcoming EP.
With visuals by Xanthe Dobbie, this afternoon of free music, featuring a series of unique Melbourne singer/songwriters and musicians, this is a great way to finish the week, and start the new one.

TAILOR BIRDS – Weaving together dynamic strings, punchy drum beats, heavy bass lines, and glistening vocals.  Melbourne 3-piece, Tailor Birds, perform ballads, combining old and new classical/folk melodies.  Using everyday objects such as wine glasses, paper, and books as sound sources, these provide a back drop to their sound.  Tailor Birds’ live shows give listeners an experience of sound design and jazz artistry.

DISKS – Three piece electronic rock outfit that have been cultivating a conceptual sci-fi sound over the past two years. The band draws on the broad collective experience of the three players, Jemi White (guitarist/vocalist/synthesist/songwriter), Garreth Morely (Drummer), and Phil Lyddy (Bass). Disks’ most recent EP, “We Were Human Beings” seeks to embody the sound of humanity in a futuristic world that lies in forethought of their imaginations. Part post-rock desert dirge, part dystopian love ballad to the future, this is one release that can safely be called unique.

MA PETITE – The solo project of Melbourne born musician, Indiana Avent.
Painting a tale of her dreams, experiences and aspirations, the little stories within the songs are brought to life with charmingly honest songwriting, creating a whimsical tapestry for Avent’s stories to be told.
Fresh off the release of her ‘Winter Comes, Winter Goes’ EP, she writes rich, honest and breathtaking songs.
