RESULTS Melbourne is hosting a fundraising film night on March 10th. We will be showing ‘Solar Mamas’ an inspiring Why Poverty? documentary that follows the journey of a Jordanian woman who is offered the opportunity to become a solar engineer at The Barefoot College in India, but she will have to leave her family, her husband and her community for 6 months.
We’ll also show 3 short films following the same theme to commemorate International Women’s Day on March 8th followed by a panel discussion.
The funds raised at this event will help RESULTS International Australia continue their advocacy work in Australia. RESULTS is a Not for Profit, non-partisan advocacy organisation where groups of volunteers receive training, support, and inspiration to become skilled advocates. Together we use our voices to influence political decisions that will bring an end to poverty. To learn more visit www.results.org.au
