Spring has finally sprung! On Saturday September 8th, the original Pitch(B):tch DJ’s, Mo Ichi and Miyagi will be sharing their installment of dirty basslines, tech driven rhythms and chunky kicks with guests Dee-Jai, djmisterjon & Alt Esc Del.
Dee Jai is a resident and guest for various events over the years, including Midsumma Carnival 2006, Sapphic, Cheeky Meow, Dial M for Murmur, Bent, Hired Goons, Pitch Bitch, All Sorts and more. She loves playing a blended mash of Minimal, Tech, and Crunchy Electro throughout her sets instead of simply playing one genre because she’s versatile and loves many genres. As of late 2011, she has been a regular guest on Kiss FM Australia’s Sunday morning show, the Walk of Shame with hosts Fifi L’Amour and Captain Kate. She’s a huge supporter of the underground music scene and wants to showcase her musical choices to fellow beings that have a love for music and enjoying life whilst having fun.
Growing up in South London with a defining new sound emerging which was to become known as tech house, Jon ‘misterjon’ Hammond has stayed true to the deep, driving sounds of ‘houseno’, instilled in him by the likes of Terry Francis, Mr C and Eddie Richards, and now has 20yrs of DJing experience in Europe and here in the Southern Hemisphere. Always happy to dish out some Cheap Thrills, misterjon has recently been enjoying a new direction under the DappaJam DJs guise, mish mashing together funk, soul, house and just about anything groovy. That said, any opportunity to get back to his roots of deep tech house and funky techno always gets him excited, so you can probably expect an eclectic riot of bouncy basslines and funky beats.
Kicks off at 11pm. Free entry.
