‘NEW DANCE SOLO SHORTS AT LOOP’ is an evening curated by Nebahat Erpolat that will bring to Loop a 1hr program of innovative & exciting new dance solos by upcoming Choreographers & Dancers from Melbourne.
The evening will start at 9pm with solo dance works of 15mins each from dance makers in the following order:
Nebahat Erpolat, Tim Crafti, Stephane Hisler, Geoffrey H Watson & Nebahat Erpolat.The wonderful cool & collect space of Loop, will next Thursday night be transformed by these 4 performers to a space that unveils, entices, seduces & challenges each guest through interactive dance and dance performance.

The evening will also present other artists and has a full program that is not to be missed. We are thrilled to see all you dance & art lovers on this special evening.

CHOREOGRAPHERS/PERFORMERS

Tim Crafti
Tim Crafti’s evolving performance practice, draws on his classical ballet training and an openness and playfulness to explore both Western and Eastern dance forms and improvisational approaches. He is presently teaching “No-Bull Ballet”, which is a culmination of his training and personal experience.

Stephane Hisler
He made his first steps at the Coline Compagny Dance School in France. Stéphane continued his dance career in Belgium, Germany, Finland, France and Ireland with various choreographers including Sasha Waltz.
In 2009 Stéphane moved to Melbourne Australia, making work with Snuff Puppets. Most recently Stephane has been choreographing work in Ireland with Fearghus O’Conchuir for ‘Cure’.

Geoffrey H Watson
Is a Melbourne based dance artist and graduate of the Australian Ballet School. Since graduating he has looked to work in ways that are more personally relatable to him, developing his contemporary technique and undergoing secondments with companies such as Tasdance (2012) and Lucy Guerin Inc (2012).

Nebahat Erpolat
Is a Berlin based independent choreographer, performer and writer, creates both solo works and collaborates on joint projects, in cross-disciplinary art forms encompassing film, photography, ecological, site-specific performance art, Installation, neo-Cabaret and dance movement: intersecting sound, film, voice, narrative and text. Her passion for performance art, dance and arts media drives her to make works that are surreal, evocative, multi-layered and powerful.
