Melbourne WebFest is Australia’s first and only international web series festival, and 2014 will be our second edition. The festival is dedicated to promoting web series as a maturing form of the web video phenomenon.
MWF is the hub for web-based content creators to come together to share their experience, network, be acknowledged, and learn about the developing trends in digital entertainment and the emerging web series industry.
The festival includes VIP Mixers, conference panels, professional workshops, screenings of our official selection, a live show with special guests, which culminates in an awards ceremony — and, of course, an after party.
The Festival work to acknowledge and promote the work of established and emerging screen producers in the online space, both domestic and international, and we provide a space that facilitates dialogue, education and networking.
The festival is deeply vested in digital cultures and development of new genres, delivery methods and business models in digital media.
In 2014 MWF will screen 50 series from over 20 countries and takes place from 18-20 July.
