Live: Pete Crane

Nightride FM
Water And Bridges

A Comic Book Villain
We’re not yet out of the clutches of Stage 4 lockdown, so we’ve decided to band an all interstate guest lineup to offer musical sacrifices to the DARK SYNTH GODS for a night that shall be witnessed by all those living under the Southern Cross.
This is the dark synth cathedral of your nightmares!
Known for fronting the industrial-electro band SHIV-R, which since 2010 has released 4 full-length albums, numerous singles, EPs and remixes and toured extensively throughout over 20 countries worldwide including festivals such as WGT (Germany), Kinetik (Canada), Mechanismus (USA) and Infest (UK), Pete Crane now presents a solo, self-titled project of instrumental industrial club music.
Launching in early 2020 with the debut full-length album “That Annihilated Place” and accompanying single “You Are Not Your Body”, Pete Crane’s solo music focusses on hard-hitting club sounds. With no vocals (unlike SHIV-R), the project builds from an industrial techno basis and injects doses of bass music grime, EBM power and psytrance flow to create a sound that has already landed in many DJ setlists around the world.
Pete Crane returns already in 2020 on Infacted Recordings with a new EP. Titled “XV” (15), after the number of The Devil tarot card featured in the striking neon cover art, the digital release contains 4 new tracks that reinforce the project’s more industrial sounds, along with 2 remixes from the debut album (by Les Berrtas and Tragic Impulse).
Acidtrixx is a Sydney DJ who has played in many clubs along the east coast of Australia specialising in dark electronic music genres such as Industrial Techno and Darkwave. While being mostly familiar with those genres, any electronic beat that is ominous and brooding will also catch their ear as Acidtrixx is not shy about experimenting with other styles. If you like it dark, loud and chonky, Acidtrixx has you covered.

Zerotonine is the host, resident DJ and runs Australia’s first and only monthly club night dedicated to synthwave, outrun and retro electro: Laser Highway in Melbourne. As a labour of love, he is dedicated to providing a unique experience for music makers and fans alike.
A veteran DJ and creator for over 15 years playing too many genres internationally and at home in Australia, he is in love with arpeggio basslines, warm synths, and driving drums; his style is inspired by 80’s movies, the Lamborghini Countach, boss fights, neon vectors, keytars, androids, reverb guitars, gated drums, cosmic phenomena, bleeps and bloops. Expect a range of sonic styles to get your feet stomping and head rocking from all corners of the retro-verse.
Laser Highway respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as Traditional Owners of the land that this event takes place. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.
