The launch of Lacewing Portrait presents a unique affair of electronic dance music with live conga’s and stunning visuals by highly skilled VJ’s ~ An eclectic mix of minimal, house and techno plus all things in between eluding to the more delicate and percussive forms of dance music. Summer is upon us and it’s time to let loose, bring people together and dance!!!!


A mainstay on the Melbourne music scene, Paul ‘Booshank’ Graham’s dedication to quality and artistry has led to countless invitations to DJ selections from his array of Hubble-funk, machinegun-soul, deathbed-disco, and Hennessy-house at Melbourne’s most loved and lauded venues over the past 10 years. Paul currently holds a residency at Melbourne institution Revolver Upstairs as part of The Late Show family, one of Australia’s longest running club nights. As a producer, Paul Graham’s first release ‘Osso Buco’ was featured as part of the Revolver nightclub ‘Music From The Late Show’ compilation (May 2011), which was followed up by his single ‘Patience’ on Melbourne’s own Haul Recording in early 2012. 2013 will see an EP under his Booshank moniker on UK vinyl only imprint UNTHANK, as well as a handful of remixes on local and international labels.

Bernadette He

Bernadette is a percussionist (Untuned Ethnic Percussion) with over 14 years of performing and recording experience with many musical outfits across Australia in a variety of musical genres including Latin (AFRO-CUBAN), Cuban Jazz, Soul, Funk, Motown, AFRO-BEAT, Afro-Peruvian, Pop/ Covers, Morrocan/ North African, Brazilian (samba reggae, samba batucada) Afro-Funk, Nouveau Flamenco, traditional West-African & Middle-Eastern/ Arabic styles from small JAZZ TRIOS to large Big Band ensembles with live dancers.

Michelle Valenti

With a passion for subtle tones, fusions of deep percussion and the Avant-Garde, Michelle Valenti has weaved her way through the Melbourne music scene over the past 7 years DJing at respected venues such as Killing Time, 161, Revolver, Brown Alley, Loop, Karova Milk Bar, Section 8, Lounge, My Aeon, Kiss FM and Kiss My Grass. Currently producing under an undisclosed alias, Michelle creates diverse pieces ranging from electronic dance music to utter quirk and formal compositions which are permeating the Contemporary art scene including performances at the Melbourne Town Hall Organ and Gallery installations. Her DJ sets create a unique vibe with deep grooves and delicate energetic tones in all of the right places.


Dark tech with a smooth edge is Panai’s recipe, and after quietly producing for the past two years, he is now ready to mix! Panai has had regular slots at some of Melbourne’s renowned venues including a recent mix on kiss FM. He is a sure fire for the dance floor creating an energetic and euphoric vibe which will undoubtabley take you on a
satisfying journey.


vdmo Kstati is a concept which is set to capture the ‘moment’ by using innovative in video manipulation performance tools and techniques – ‘Seems to be Right Now‘. With over 8 years experience, vdmo Kstati has played a significant role in developing interactive shows and video content for a wide range of Events and Festivals across Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales along its regional and Capital Cities.
