Filmonik is an open-screen short film screening for short films of any genre that have a duration of 5 minutes or less. As an audience member you get to discover new short films for free on a big screen and on a great soundsystem, chat with filmmakers and sip a few beers in a laid back bar environment. As a filmmaker you can show up on the night with your newest film on a USB key and we’ll screen it. Uncurated, spontaneously submitted short films of any genre and of all filmmaking levels create awesome and surprising screenings for the public and for the filmmakers who climb on stage after their film for a quick QA with host Iphigenie Frey. You can read the loose guidelines here: http://filmonik.com.au/
