Dot Complacency, Ghostsoul & Virtual Proximity come together at Loop for an evening of glitch, hiphop and jazztronica.
Free Entry.

1st Set – Dot Complacency
Lyrical improvisations fuse with beats, samples, and electronic tom-foolery. Influenced by all things good, bad, and down-right filthy, Brae Grimes (Trumpet and iPad) and Oliver Paterson (Guitar and Electronics) have just begun to develop a strong communication as improvisers and composers.

2nd Set – Ghostsoul
Affiliated with Uncomfortable Beats, Ghostsoul is an abstract hiphop/ glitch hop/triphop producer. He takes his style of production from a love of instrumental hiphop, dub, funk and ol’skool D’&B’.

3rd Set – Virtual Proximity
Virtual Proximity are a musical-visual outfit who’s style could best be described as dark jazztronica, with influences including DJ Krush, Miles Davis, Four-Tet and Nils Petter Molvaer. Their live show is entirely improvised, with live instrumentation, digital looping and spontaneous drum programming. Abstract melodies are fused with driving beats and atmospheric textures, while the interactive visuals add an extra dimension of colour and movement, complementing the music with strange and wonderful imagery. James Annesley – electric flute, EWI, live loops. Tristan Courtney – bass, laptop, MPD, live loops. Robert Jarvis – live visuals.
