Hailing from The Blue Mountains; Dysphemic – offspring of Vernon Treweeke, the “Father of Australian Psychedelic Art” – started experimenting with music at the age of 10. From humble beginnings programming on an Amiga Commodore computer and playing drums, Dysphemic has established himself as a one of Australia’s most unique and prolific producer/MC’s. Traversing from jungle, hardcore techno, hip hop, IDM, drum and bass, dubstep and glitch hop, Dysphemic’s standout releases (‘Sloth’, ‘Androids’, ‘Hypnosis’ and ‘Muthaf#ckn Dinosaur!’) have received worldwide attention and a dedicated following after his European and American tour.

Wasabi first started writing electronic music at 13 and became deeply immersed in the science of sound after making his debut to the live stage professionally at the fresh age of eight. He started out writing breaks and house which progressed to a deeper dnb, break core and industrial style. Hip hop and big beat became the force for a while leading him to start his own label Fortnight Productions, releasing a new album or mixtape every fortnight. Some of the albums are still respected as the best underground albums ever made in Australia.

With a penchant for multi-syllabic rhymes, Zulu’s style – as his name suggests – is all about the flow. His music transitions seamlessly from a laidback, nonchalant style into tongue-twisting, shotgun, single-verse streamlining. Lyrically, his objective is to raise consciousness, honour Mother-earth and inspire his audience to co-operate and ignite co-creative relationships with the highest possible intent. Wit, catchy hooks and choruses and a punch of uplifting party vibes energise the, bass-heavy, clean and funky, head-bopping dope beats, from a wide range of local producers – Dysphemic, Wasabi, Jimi Orr (of The Red Eyes), Mixa, Prequel, Able (Flow Lab), DEVIZE, RFYL, el Gortz To name a few…

Kymaera also created his own monthly night “Cosmic Empire”, a night dedicated to underground music and turntablism, which features the creme de la creme of Melbourne’s bass DJs as regular guests.
