To celebrate the release of Mike Malloy’s documentary EUROCRIME! THE ITALIAN COP AND GANGSTER FILMS THAT RULED THE 70’s on VHS, Celluloid Apocalypse are proud to present a screening of THE ITALIAN CONNECTION.
Introduced by Melbourne crime author, journalist and Eurocrime enthusiast, Andrew Nette, THE ITALIAN CONNECTION, written and directed by Eurocrime master, Fernando Di Leo, stars the indomitable Mario Adorf as a low-level pimp who is blamed for a missing heroin shipment. The film also features the talents of Woody Strode and ratpacker Henry Silva as hitmen sent from New York to recover the powder. When Adorf’s wife and child are caught in the crossfire, the hunters become the hunted and violent, bloody revenge becomes the name of the game.
This is possibly the best Eurocrime film ever made, I kid you not.
Tickets are free but space is limited, so come along early grab a seat at this must-see screening!
