Ocea:
Ocea is a 19-year-old loop-based music artist hailing from the northern suburbs of Melbourne. With a background in folk and blues music, Ocea has drawn from a myriad of influences and sounds to create his own unique blend of dreamy / hip-hop inspired beats.
With influences including Bonobo, Chet Faker and Beach House, Ocea has combined both theoretical knowledge of music and attention to detail as he fuses crisp clean synth pads with a kaleidoscope of synth lead and smooth cutting rhythms.
Laura Lee:
LAURA LEE is a new to Melbourne, solo artist. Weaves nostalgia hazed pop songs via computer loops accompanied by her vocals. The performer will be taking her melancholic dream-pop to the stage for the the first time in 2014.
Jonny Faith:
Drawing on a wide reach of musical influences both past and present, Jonny Faith has managed to craft his own brand of distinctive beats/bass music littered with space-age synths and organic sounds. Having emigrated 8 years ago from his hometown of Edinburgh, to Australia, Faith is part of the dazzling future beats scene currently thriving in the southern hemisphere. Reinvention is what defines Jonny Faith, and his forward-thinking approach is as much rooted in the galactic reaches as it is in Jamaican dance halls.
Dito Kadum:
Dito Kadum is a french music producer, singer and digital artist. Inspired by the beginning of the 80’s, his electronic new-wave music is intimately connected to his art work (Art Video and Digital/wool portrait). He performs with the drummer Baxta de Wall and illustrates his sound with art video projections creating an hypnotic but entertaining atmosphere. He has played in different places in Melbourne (Preston Festival, Lyre bird, Rubixwarehouse, Loop bar…) and had solo exhibitions in Melbourne (Rtist, La niche, Art boy).
