If you want a taste of that Rainbow Serpent summer spirit, quality Australian bush techno, funky house, and smiling beautiful people, toddle down to Arthouse for a FREE night of some of the best DJs and producers Melbourne has to offer. “Welcome to the house that techno built.”

This time Arthouse brings you legendary Katie Drover and Jen Tutty who are no strangers to stages big and small (having closed the Falls Festival in 2013). Joining them are the Doesn’t Matter dons, beasts of dope techno – Moskalin, Brynley Cullen and With A J. Then there are the kings of swing – Sekkt – bringing you live and funky tech-house with vocals, horns and keys. And last but not least, a master’s apprentice Ekul Moht, with something a little darker.

Bring those dancing feet and get ready to boogie like a jitterbug…till first light.

KATIE DROVER – Such is the depth of Katie Drover’s experience that, since cutting her teeth at Room680 in 2002, Drover has played just about everywhere you can imagine in a city known for its long-standing commitment to electronic music: from Tramp, in the basement of a strip club underneath the notorious King Street, to closing sets on an enormous stage at internationally acclaimed Falls Festival on New Year’s Eve, to her regular appearances at infamous Melbourne nightspots such as Revolver and OneSixOne, at Sydney’s Mardi Gras, and at countless other music festivals such as Summadayze and Future Music Festival, not to mention in the back of a ute for the opening of the AFL Grand Final, the launch of the Honda Jazz, and as an ambassador for Pioneer Pro DJ.

JEN TUTTY – From dance floor fanatics to chin-strokers at the bar, everybody loves a Jen Tutty set. Jen’s commitment to being a vibrant, skilled and reliable DJ over the last 10 years has gained Jen the respect of the industry and allowed her to become a successful and busy DJ throughout Melbourne and Australia.
With her dj-ing roots in the Melbourne deep house scene, Jen now mixes up a combination of genres from house through to techno. On the constant hunt for new tunes and sounds, Jen’s favourite producers include Lee Foss, Jamie Jones, Marceo Plex, Claptone, Lovebirds, Oliver Koletzki, Gaiser, Loco Dice, Dillon, Ame, Duke Dumont and Tiga.
Jen’s commitment to her various long standing residencies over the years (including her 8 year Friday night residency at Onesixone) has given her the opportunity to develop her unique style and build up a solid, loyal and ever growing fan base.
As well as warming up for some of the biggest international deep and tech house producers including Booka Shade, DJ T, Matthias Tanzmann, Oliver Koletzki, Oliver Huntemann, Spirit Catcher, Alex Kidd, Justin Martin, Inland Knights, Audiofly X, DJ Sneak, King Unique, Nic Fanciulli, , Tom Middleton, Bjorn Wilke and James Talk, Jen has also played an enviable list of festivals, parties and guest-spots, including Falls Festival, Rainbow Serpent Festival, Summadayze, Kiss My Grass, Sunshine People, Earthcore, Circo Loco, the Likes of You, Revolver Sundays and the Sunny parties.
On top of a busy DJ career, Jen also owns her own entertainment law firm ‘Studio Legal’ and represents the likes of Stereosonic Festival, Rainbow Serpent Festival, Kiss FM and Let Them Eat Cake.

– WIth a J is an established name in the Melbourne electronic music scene. Part of the Doesn’t Matter collective, With A J is as comfortable playing alongside Rodskeez, Kasey Taylor and Jamie Stevens as at doofs in the Australian bush. Stoked to have With a J onboard with Arthouse.

– The Israeli wunderkind will bewitch and enthral you with his unique brand of funky techno stompers, both dark and melodic. Moskalin has played around Australia and overseas and is now expanding his horizons to bring you his own tasty productions. Enjoy

BRYNLEY CULLEN – With a passion for deep, soulful grooves but not afraid to wind things up, he has found his passion at the deeper end of house and techno spectrum – also dabbling in progressive sounds. He has supported internationals as varied as Antix/Fiord and Loopus In Fabula to The Kleptones.

SEKKT – Sekkt is made up of siblings – Pavel (production, trumpet), Lenka (vocals, saxophone) and Matija (vocals, trombone) who have been playing music together since they were children. They learnt guitar, vocals, saxophone, trumpet and accordion, and everything from classical music and jazz, to Balkan folk music.

Just a few years old, Sekkt has already had considerable success. In late 2012, Sekkt returned to Australia after finishing a 15-show tour of Germany, France, Spain and Portugal. In August 2012 while in Europe, Sekkt was a featured artist on DW Radio, Germany’s international broadcaster.

In recording and performance, Sekkt combines live instruments with electronic beats; Eastern European melodies, with funk and electronica, both original compositions and remixes.

Sekkt has also notched up performances at 3 Australian music festivals – Rainbow Serpent, Shine On and Maitreya. With performances at the Melbourne Fashion Festival and regular performances at Melbourne venues, bars and clubs, Sekkt presents a new approach to production and performance.

EKUL MOHT – Presenting the weekly “Basement Binge” program on SYN FM, a homage to all things techno, Ekul Moht brings a funky yet dark brand of techno and house. Having played at festivals as diverse as Rainbow Serpent and the Melbourne Fashion Festival, Ekul knows how to get people moving, in the best possible way.

VJs LIGHTSOULJA + METALLIC JELLY will be wowing us as usual with their dreamy, ethereal and absorbing visuals.
