Myles Mac

Myles Mac together with Andy Hart, is the driving force behind the internationally respected podcast and label, the Melbourne Deepcast. With a podcast that has quickly become one of the go-to places on the web for your fix of carefully selected house, techno and disco, there’s but a few ears they haven’t reached. Casting the net even deeper, the Melbourne Deepcast label was born in 2010, providing a platform for the ever-growing number of talent rich producers Melbourne provides a home to.

As a DJ, Mac has been playing records on the regular around his home town for some years now, and is an avid collector of all things twelve inch. In 2012, Mac and Hart were guests at some of Europe’s most notorious nightspots, co-hosting a party featuring at Badeschiff and Bohnen Gold in Berlin, Golem in Hamburg, the infamous Conne Island in Leipzig, and as a guest of their friends Wolf Music at London’s Queen Of Hoxton. Myles Mac and the Melbourne Deepcast are no doubt some of the most exciting prospects to witness within Melbourne’s underground electronic resurgence.

Andy Hart

Andy Hart’s artistic creativity stands at the cutting edge of Melbourne’s dance community. Andy is a purveyor of all things deep with his creativity spawning his own releases, an internationally recognized website and podcast, his own events and now a record label.

Fantastic Man (headliner)

The work of both Mic Newman and Fantastic Man reveal a raw talent to spread across a number of genres.

Hailing from Melbourne and a family of musicians, his focus on electronic music has gained star status in his home country, where he, along with a new breed of local artists have put Australia firmly on the house radar, with an ever-expanding scene developing.

Keen to explore a different side to his talents, Mic has launched an illusive alias, ‘Fantastic Man’; which has so far seen success on Wolf Music, Melbourne Deepcast, and his own “Plastic Fantastic” EP on Detroit label Kolour LTD, the later reaching the illustrious number 1 position on Juno’s top sellers chart.

Katie Drover

With experience that stems from Room680 in 2002, Drover has played just about everywhere you can imagine in a city known for its long-standing commitment to electronic music: from Tramp, in the basement of a strip club underneath the notorious King Street, to closing sets on an enormous stage at internationally acclaimed Falls Festival on New Year’s Eve, to her regular appearances at infamous Melbourne nightspots such as Revolver and OneSixOne, at Sydney’s Mardi Gras, and at countless other music festivals such as Summadayze and Future Music Festival, not to mention in the back of a ute for the opening of the AFL Grand Final, the launch of the Honda Jazz, and as an ambassador for Pioneer Pro DJ.
