    Join Young Australians in International Affairs in Melbourne for our final event for 2017.

    Come along and hear from speakers of all levels of experience (from DFAT right through to non-profits), about how to engage in the competitive field of international affairs in an meaningful way, and build a career out of it.

    We are pleased delighted to have Joel Backwell, Holly Crocket and Cameron Archer as our special guests during the evening. Our speakers will each give a brief synopsis of their role and experience, and what their advice would be for people just starting out in the arena.

    Mingle with like-minded young professionals, researchers and students with a keen interest for foreign policy and international affairs.After hearing from our speakers, have a drink and a chat with our speakers and each other – to build on your networks and hear about how those around you are building their own careers in the international relations space.

    ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
    Joel Backwell – Joel is the Executive Director of International Education at the Victorian Department of Education and Training. He is also the former Trade Commissioner to Malaysia.

    Holly Crocket – Holly is the Manager of Community Campaigns and Solidarity at Plan International Australia. Holly has an extensive background in international campaigns, development, and communications.

    Cameron Archer – Cameron is the Deputy State Director, DFAT Victoria State Office.
