Please feel free to join us as we launch the DVD of the final year work of the 2007 RMIT Media graduates. Combining web-based technology with the latest innovations in the areas of sound and vision the DVD is full of exciting and engaging entertainment. The graduates have produced a variety of sophisticated works across a range of media platforms, genres and styles that testify to their conceptual understanding and practical abilities in the production of both traditional and emerging media forms.
SAT 24 MAY: ATTACK OF THE KILLER FAIRY PENGUINS.
Attack!! of the Killer Fairy Penguins. It's Killer Penguin time again, as Melbourne's best night of tech-house settles into its regular slot on the 4th Saturday of the month. There's nothing regular about this night though, as we welcome two DJs from Kamome Sound System of Japan, currently on tour from Europe and soon, around Australia. DJ Hi-deo and DJ Nob will kick off the night at the earlier start time of 9pm, playing a Yokohama style mash-up of house, electro, NY garage, house and disco. From 11pm residents Daniel Strauss, Harry Helix and Marc Johnstone push on through to dawn, with a special welcome to Penguins debutante, 'the captain' James Cook. The last one was a cracker, hope to see you back for more.
